1Challenge

Bank Simpanan Nasional is the bank tasked by the Ministry of Education Malaysia (KPM) with digitalising payment infrastructure in schools and encouraging cashless payments nationwide. Doing that at scale needs more than a bank card: every canteen and bookshop needs a terminal, every student needs a credential that works for young children, and parents need control over spending.

2Solution

BSN Orijin School combines four parts: an NFC student card for students, guardians and teachers; the BSN Orijin School app with a Boost e-wallet, daily limits, transactions, attendance and fees; Orijin EDC terminals for canteens and bookshops; and Orijin Soundbox terminals that record daily attendance and outings. The OrijinGuru app for teachers followed in June 2026.
